The people that make up The Sexton Corporation bring great experience, integrity, and dedication to all of our projects.
President / CEO
Jeremy has been with The Sexton Corporation since 2010 and oversees all aspects of the business. Prior to joining the team we knew Jeremy as a customer studying Dungeness crabs and low oxygen zones off the Oregon coast. His drive, technological savvy, and natural leadership abilities have contributed to our growth substantially.
Jeremy has lead the research and design process of our new stock product line and is our resident expert on Machine Vision integration, optical systems, networking, and sensors.
Jeremy received his B.S. in Marine Biology from Millersville University in 2005 and his M.S. in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University in 2010. He is a photographer, PADI certified scuba diver, and an active member and current Chair of the Oregon Marine Technology Society.
Owner, Retired President
Ken brings nearly five decades of marine biology, housing fabrication, and entrepreneurship experience to his role at the helm of The Sexton Corporation. His natural inquisitiveness and desire to learn by doing have seen him through advanced biology degrees and a variety of jobs from heart disease researcher to whale walker.
Ken first learned to build underwater camera housings from a windshield designer at Boeing during his undergrad in Seattle. He fostered this as a hobby and part-time business for decades until he was finally able to devote himself full-time to the design and manufacture of custom underwater housings.
He has since seen the business grow beyond his basement and into The Sexton Corporation as it is today. Now-a-days you’ll find Ken playing an active role within the business, but he has delegated out the day-to-day management of the business in favor of increased travel, further studies, and volunteer work.
Director of Business Operations
Philip started with the company in 2015 and currently serves as the Director of Business Operations and oversees our business development, accounting, and human resources activities.
Philip graduated with honors from Southern New Hampshire University in 2013 with a BA in Law and Politics with a focus in Constitutional and International Environmental Law and Negotiation. He went on to Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management, graduating in the top five percent of his class with an MBA. During his time at Atkinson he focused on advanced data analytics and small business development.
In the past Philip has been a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) and Firefighter One, a member of a Minor Care Detachment in the United States Army Reserves, and political consultant. Currently Philip can be found working towards professional certifications, climbing mountains, and long distance backpacking.
After several years at sea as a Marine Engineer aboard fishing vessels in Alaska, Dan joined us at The Sexton Corporation in September 2011 as a Design Engineer and Machinist. He is skilled with CAD/CAM and with the operation of our CNC machines. Dan received his B.S. in Marine Engineering Technology from California Maritime Academy in 2007.
Senior Design Engineer
Kent is a principle product designer for custom underwater enclosures, equipment frames, and injection molded parts. He is an accomplished mechanical design engineer with over 30 years of design experience for marine research, telecopic instrumentation, electro-mechanical packaging, design for injection molded plastic and machine design.
Outside of work, Kent is a former SCUBA instructor (NAUI and PADI), musician (guitar), and baseball umpire.
Model Shop Manager, Machinist
Bobby joined The Sexton Corporation in 2014 and serves as Lead Machinist and Model Shop Manager. Bobby brings 10 years of design, aerospace machining, and mold-making experience to the company and gives us the ability to manufacture and prototype virtually any part or assembly in-house.
